Recruitment/Membership
The Carlstadt Volunteer Ambulance Corps is always looking for new members to join us. We only ask that you commit a minimum of twelve (12) hours per week to us as well as time for required training. The Corps will provide all required equipment and assist in obtaining the necessary training.
Members will be required to be trained with CPR – Healthcare Provider, Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT). Further training may be required by State and Federal Laws. New members may staff the ambulance while obtaining their training.
All applicants must be between the ages of 16 and 70 and in reasonably good health. All applicants will be required to provide three written reference letters from a non-family member who has known the applicant for at least 3 years. They will also undergo a background check which will look at both criminal history and check to see if the applicant is in good moral character.
